From Pastor Ben
No one can say 2018 was uneventful at Faith Mountain! From unexpected parking lot expenses and roof leaks to financial changes and staffing changes, 2018 gave us all that we could handle.
Even though we faced great challenges, we saw our church rise up and build to meet those challenges. While 2019 will be filled with challenges, we are trusting God, seeing Him move, and are better equipped to move forward.
But 2018 wasn’t all bad. We loved people to life and made an impact in our city through our efforts in Whiz Kids Tutoring, Santa Shop, our Food Bank and more! We made improvements to our 9:00 service. We are putting our greatest effort into things that have spiritual value and saw 16 people step into essential leadership roles helping us expand our reach.
We made an impact on our community through people like you who generously invest your time, talents, and treasure into this incredible mission. Thank you! Scroll down for quick look at the impact of your gifts.
I can’t wait to see all that God does in 2019 as we reboot! If you’ve missed our VISION series, you can watch it here. We are using what the Apostle Paul did as he started the church in Ephesus as a model for us going forward.
We have already begun gearing up to meet the increased needs of our community from the government shutdown. We have seen several food donations come in and are working with city and county officials to determine how to best help. As we look ahead, here are just a few things you can anticipate: better engaging people in our mission of Loving People to Life, new ministry directors making significant contributions, an increased focus on the gospel and sharing it with those around us.
There is so much to look forward to this coming year, and I hope that you are as excited as I am about what God is going to do. I sincerely believe that we are on the cusp of something special as we pursue faithfulness to Him.
Thank you again for your contributions! I pray that 2019 brings you endless joy as you faithfully pursue Jesus.
